Le 19 août 2025, le conseil a publié une version censurée du rapport commandé à Pomax Consulting Inc. concernant son examen des cinq services d’incendie de la communauté après la fusion.
Le conseil publie maintenant le rapport complet sans aucune censure. Cette décision a été prise afin de garantir une transparence totale envers le public. Le conseil estime qu’il est important que toutes les informations pertinentes soient fournies à nos résidents afin qu’ils soient pleinement informés.
Tel qu’annoncé précédemment, le conseil a pris à date les deux décisions suivantes :
- Aucune caserne de pompiers ne sera fermée. L’équipement sera optimisé afin de maximiser l’efficacité de la collaboration entre les casernes.
- Le poste de directeur des services d’incendie a été proposé à l’interne parmi les cinq chefs de caserne en poste. Ricky McNaughton a été retenu.

On August 19, 2025, Council released a redacted version of the report commissioned from Pomax Consulting Inc. regarding its review of the community’s five fire departments post-amalgamation.
Council is now releasing the full report with no redactions. This decision has been made to ensure full transparency with the public. Council believes it is important that all the relevant information is provided to our residents so that they are fully informed.
As previously advised, Council has made the following two decisions to date:
- No fire stations will be closed. Equipment will be optimized in order to maximize the efficiency of how stations work together.
- The position of Director Fire Services was posted internally among the five current station chiefs. Ricky McNaughton was the successful candidate.

STATIONNEMENT EN HIVER 2025-2026 : Conformément à divers règlements, voici les différentes limitations de stationnement décrites autour de la Communauté régionale de Campbellton.
SECTEUR DE CAMPBELLTON
- Restrictions de stationnement en vigueur du 15 novembre au 30 avril.
- Stationnement pour tous les véhicules interdit dans les rues entre minuit et 7h, sept jours sur sept.
- Exceptions : rue Ramsay, rue Water, rue Union, rue Subway et rue Roseberry (entre la rue George et la rue Subway) où un véhicule peut être stationné jusqu’à 2 h 30.
- Les propriétaires/exploitants de véhicules ne respectant pas ces restrictions se verront imposer une amende et/ou leur véhicule sera remorqué à leurs propres frais.
SECTEURS D’ATHOLVILLE, VAL D’AMOURS, SAINT-ARTHUR
- Restrictions de stationnement en vigueur du 1er novembre au 30 avril.
- Stationnement pour tous les véhicules interdit dans les rues entre minuit et 7h, sept jours sur sept.
- Les véhicules en contradiction avec ces restrictions seront remorqués aux frais du propriétaire.
SECTEUR DE TIDE HEAD
- Restrictions de stationnement en vigueur du 1er novembre au 30 avril.
- Interdiction de stationner dans aucune rue pendant que des opérations de déneigement sont effectuées le long de la rue.
- Les véhicules en contradiction avec ces restrictions seront remorqués aux frais du propriétaire.
WINTER PARKING 2025-2026: As per various bylaws, here are the parking limitations outlined for around the Campbellton Regional Community.
CAMPBELLTON AREA
- Parking restrictions in effect from November 15 until April 30.
- Parking for all vehicles prohibited on streets between midnight and 7 a.m., seven days per week.
- Exceptions: Ramsay Street, Water Street, Union Street, Subway Street and Roseberry Street (between George Street and Subway Street) where a vehicle may be parked until 2:30 a.m.
- Owners/operators of vehicles not following these restrictions will be fined and/or have their vehicle towed at their own expense.
ATHOLVILLE, VAL D’AMOURS, SAINT-ARTHUR AREAS
- Parking restrictions in effect from November 1 until April 30.
- Parking for all vehicles prohibited on streets between midnight and 7 a.m., seven days per week.
- Vehicles in contradiction to these restrictions will be towed at the owner’s expense.
TIDE HEAD AREA
- Parking restrictions in effect from November 1 until April 30.
- No parking on any street while snow removal operations are being carried out along the street.
- Vehicles in contradiction to these restrictions will be towed at the owner’s expense.

En 2023, le conseil de la Communauté régionale de Campbellton a mandaté Pomax Consulting Inc. de revoir ses services d’incendie à la suite de la fusion des communautés locales lors de la réforme du gouvernement municipal. L’objectif de l’étude était de recevoir des recommandations pour l’optimisation des cinq casernes de pompiers de la nouvelle municipalité.
Les décisions prises à ce jour comprennent :
- Aucune caserne de pompiers ne sera fermée. Les équipements seront optimisés afin de maximiser l’efficacité du fonctionnement des stations ensemble.
- Le poste de directeur des services d’incendie sera affiché à l’interne parmi les cinq chefs de caserne actuels.
Le conseil publie ce rapport afin d’informer le public des recommandations qu’il a reçues. Le rapport et les recommandations sont actuellement à l’étude.
Veuillez noter que certaines parties du rapport ont été expurgées pour des raisons de confidentialité. Les parties expurgées sont liées aux prochaines négociations contractuelles entre la municipalité et le SCFP, Local 76 et/ou liées à d’autres questions confidentielles en matière de ressources humaines. In 2023, Campbellton Regional Community council commissioned Pomax Consulting Inc. to review its fire services following the amalgamation of local communities during municipal government reform. The goal of the review was to receive recommendations for the optimization of the new municipality’s five fire stations.
The decisions made to date include:
- No fire stations will be closed. Equipment will be optimized in order to maximize the efficiency of how stations work together.
- The position of Director Fire Services will be posted internally among the five current station chiefs.
Council is releasing the report in order to inform the public as to the recommendations it received. The report and the recommendations are currently under review.
Please note that some portions of the report have been redacted for confidentiality reasons. Those portions that are redacted are related to upcoming contract negotiations between the municipality and CUPE, Local 76 and/or related to other confidential human resources matters.
